Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a great weekend. It all started off by Zach taking Friday off of work. It is not very often that we get a 4 day weekend!! We really didn't do much during the day, but that afternoon Zach's cousin Chris and his wife Stephanie and their cute boy Ben came and stayed the weekend with us. They are such fun people, we had a blast. On Saturday we invited a few friends over and had a barbecue at our home. I had a great time, I hope everyone else did. We ended up playing the Wii for about 4 hours. Nothing better than a group of friends making fools of themselves!!

Then, we just kind of hung out the rest of the weekend. Chris and Stephanie and Ben left early Monday morning, and Zach and the kids mowed the lawn and Aynslee tried to follow. You will see in the pictures below. We are thankful for the many sacrifices of many lives to make this Memorial Day even possible. Thank you to all of you who are working to make everyday free!!! Ayns trying to follow the mower, I don't know why she chose a shovel to haul around?

My birthday bash

May 20th was my 27th birthday!! I honestly can't believe it. I had such a great day. I got to sleep in late, and Zach came home for lunch and we got to open presents early. It was so nice to see him during the day, that never happens. I was very spoiled by cards and presents from so many wonderful family members. I got lotions, a great book, and the kids gave me some new shorts and a shirt, and Zach gave the Wii Fit. (I will post an entire post about that, it is THE BEST!!)
Later that night we went out to eat and then instead of cake I made Peanut Butter Pie. It was SO good. I want to thank everyone for all of my great gifts and thoughts on my birthday. I was on the phone all day. I am such a lucky girl to be loved by so many people. I love you all back!!! Blowing out the candle on my Peanut Butter Pie (Yum)

My mom and dad sent me these flowers. The are SO pretty!!!

My baby girl

It has taken me one full year to realize that I have a girl, but finally I did. When you have two boys, and then a girl, it is hard to switch gears. I was able to finally pull Aynslee's hair into a ponytail, and she can sit long enough again to paint her cute toenails. It is so exciting to be able to dress her in what I wish I could get away with. I just wanted to post a few pictures of my baby girl. I am not saying that I don't love my boys, because I do. I just wanted to say I am lucky to have such a cute girl too!!
P.S. she finally learned to walk. I will post a video later!!! Jax says she looks like a Zombie when she walks. It is so funny! Her cute nails painted
She will NEVER look at the camera, but this is her first ponytail!!! YAY!!!

I softened this picture and I think it turned out so cute!!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!!

I have to thank Zach and my kids for a wonderful Mother's Day!!! The boys woke me up by jumping on me in the morning, and gave me the cutest card and some nice shoes. They said the shoes are to help me keep running around the house, because that's what mom's do. A few days ago Zach took me to the furniture store and let me pick out a new chair for our house. I decided on a "fat man" chair that we can all sit in together. I LOVE it. Some of you are thinking "ya right, that is more for Zach" but the answer is NO. I was the one to ask for it and I picked it out. Everyone needs a good fat man chair. Anyway, I want to thank my family for being the best. It is easy being a mom when I have the great family that I do. I love you all.

Hanging out in the 'fat man' chair (sorry the pictures bad, a window is right behind it)

Happy Birthday to Aynslee!!!!

I can't believe how fast time goes. It seems like yesterday that my little baby girl was born. Yesterday was Aynslee's first birthday!!! We had such a great day. Zach's Mema and Papa were in town (Mema shares Aynslee's birthday) and then Zach's Uncle Jim was in Birmingham on a work trip and drove here for the party. It was so great to have family in town. For those of you who know me very well, knows that I am a freak when it comes to birthdays. I don't decorate, or throw huge parties, but I make sure EVERYONE knows it is your birthday and I don't let anyone forget it. We had a cook-out and then went to Jackson's last soccer game. There was a little confusion of the time of the game, so we missed it. It was really sad, but he was ok with it because we made it in time for awards. His team was undefeated!!! Yay Jax!!! Then we came home and opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Aynslee LOVED her cake and ice cream. She kept screaming when it was finished until she got more. I think she ate more that all of us combined, but it was her birthday, you can get fat on your birthday!!! Aynslee got some REALLY cute clothes, a car that she can drive, a princess chair, and some other toys. She has been playing with all the boys toys, so she was SO happy to finally get some toys that were all hers. It is amazing how much she has grown up. I think she has even grown up from yesterday. We love our baby girl, and are so glad that she is part of our family. Our family would not be the same without her, scream or no scream, we would miss her. We love you Aynslee, we can't wait to see what this next year will bring. Happy Birthday!!!! Even though they are not looking I think this is a cute picture. One year ago today!!

Eating cake and ice cream.

This is her birthday dress I made her.

Another picture of the dress. Still a little long.

Happy Birthday Mema!!

Pillow Fight

We didn't really do very much this weekend. I had to go to Tupelo (about 1 hour away) for a church meeting. Zach watched all the kids. It was the first time he has watched them all for more than a couple hours. I have to admit that I was a little nervous when I was reminding him to remember to feed the kids and he said "You better write this down". He did a great job though, when I got home the whole house was clean, the kids fed, down for naps, and he even took them to a squadron party. I was very impressed. I think I may make every Saturday my day out. It was SO NICE. That night after we gave the kids a bath, they found a random pillow, and decided to have a pillow fight. Ayns loved to lay on it, she thought it was the best. I guess her little crib mattress is not as nice as a pillow. Poor girl. Anyway, I love to see all my kids playing together. They play so well, and I love to hear them all laughing. Of course when 3 kids get in a pillow fight there is always one who gets hurt. Not really hurt, feeling hurt more than anything else. You will see in the pictures. Until next time......Aynslee's birthday on Thursday!!!!!! Relaxing

Still a little small for a pillow fight

Of course you have to throw in a little wrestling
