Proud of my Jax Man

Today was Jackson's awards day at school. I got a note a few days ago from his teacher letting us know that Jax was going to receive an award so we should try and come. We were so proud of him and excited to see what it was. When we got there we were VERY pleased and surprised to find out that he received a few more. It is my blog so I am going to brag!! Get ready:

He made it on the Superintendents list
The Reading Club
The Math Club
Honors Reading (he had to finish his AR goals for the first 3 quarters to make it to Honors then read 3 one point books, and 35 books selected by the librarian. He made a total of 70 AR points this year!)
The big one was TOP STUDENT for his class!

I am one proud mommy today. He was so excited as well. He had no idea and he was so happy about being top student. It makes me so happy to know that he is doing well and ACTING well in class. It makes me feel good knowing that my son is not the hard kid in class and his teacher enjoys him. I really should have known because he truly is a great kid. I love this little boy SO much. Congrats Jax!

So happy for his awards. Good kid!

You can see his excited face.

Dance Recital

After the air show we had Aynslee's dance recital. We have been looking forward to it for months. I should have known that nothing was going to go right. Aynslee was so tired after the air show, so I decided to give her a quick nap before we had to get ready. I woke her up and that was a BAD mistake. I did her make-up and all she did is scream and cry and just ended up with a black face from the mascara. Then she didn't want to get dressed in the outfit (she had been begging to wear it for weeks). I finally got my sisters blog on the computer and showed her Ryanne (her cousin) and how she was pretty at her recital and wore make-up and had a pretty dance outfit. After that she was tolerable. She let me re-do the make-up and at least put on the clothes, though not very happily. We got some horrible pictures and went to the recital. Now, this girl knows her dances. She won't stop doing them all day long driving us all crazy with them. She loves to dance and I thought it would be no problem. She is actually really good. They announced her class, she got on stage, gave us a wave (after yelling mom forever, I had to stand and yell hi to her). The music started and what does she do? Plays with her friends skirt and twirls in her own skirt. What??? I waited and waited and finally she does a few steps but then decides to scream hi to us again. The same thing happens for the second dance. What do we do? Laugh. How can you not? She was SO STINKING CUTE up there. My little girl being so fun and cute and having fun. When it was over I asked her if she had fun and she said "ya, but now I am done and I want to play soccer like Jax and Shade". What do I say? "Good idea". LOVE HER!

"leave me alone!" Not wanting to do anything.

Air Show

Last Saturday was the Air Show at our base. It was SO SO HOT!! We had a great time but we had to walk about 2 miles from where we parked to even get to the planes. Once we got there though, we had fun. We saw a lot of different planes and the kids loved being able to get inside some of them. We didn't stay for the Thunderbirds because they flew right over our house and we just watched them from the porch. Not as hot! Here are a few pictures of our fun day.

The kids getting ready for take-off

Uncle Jed is staying with us for a few weeks. His friend Marissa drove down with him. The kids are loving them.

Blaze was such a good boy, he drank a ton of apple juice and hung out in the car seat. Love him.

Checking out the planes.

Our squadron did tattoos so we had to get one.

Pretty tough

This is what Uncle Jed is going to fly. Pretty cool.

I am big girl now!!

Saturday was Aynslee Lyn's 3rd birthday!!! I can't believe that she is so big. We had a huge party for her. Grandpa and Grandma Stewart and Mema and Papa were able to come and spend the weekend with us. Ayns shares her birthday with Mema so it is extra special. She had to do a dance at the Market Street Festival in the morning and did such a great job. We had a bbq and lots of cake and ice cream. We had a ton of fun and she was such a good girl the whole day. We even went "girl" shopping. Just the girls she kept saying. We are so lucky to have our baby girl in our family. She lets us all know that she is the only girl and she pretty much runs the house. We all do whatever she wants. She is the queen. We love her and LOVE to see her cute personality grow each day. Happy birthday sweet baby!!

Loving her leapster (the screen was broken so I have to drive 1 hour to take it back.. UGH!)

Loving Mema and the money she got!!

Running to her place during her dance

leaving for the dance performance with her birthday badge she is still wearing 2 days later!

She wanted a barbie cake. This was my attempt. Not a very good job. I will not do it again. I should have make a sheet cake with a barbie on it. She loved it so that is all that matters.

Showing Jax her skills on the leapster

Loving her tea set. We have tea parties everyday now. Love it.
