Already?

I can't believe how fast this came. I remember talking to a friend not that long ago saying that I felt like I was knocking on the soccer mom's door, and now someone has opened it and welcomed me in. Monday night was Jackson's first soccer practice. I can't believe it. I have been shuttling the kids around to various activities for a while now, but I am now a true soccer mom. Jax did such a great job. He really had no idea what soccer was when he started, but he caught on pretty quick. I had to explain that he should only try and kick the ball into one net. He was just trying to kick it where ever he could. He is a really fast dribbler ( I found out that is soccer lingo for kicking the ball back and forth between your left and right foot. Who knew?) The only set back was that he is on the 5-7 year old team ( I have a few issues with that, there are just not enough kids to make separate teams ) and a boy about as tall as I am, kicked the ball as hard as he could and of course it landed right in the middle of Jax's stomach. He stayed strong for as long as he could. The poor boy had the wind knocked out of him. It was as hard for me as it was for him. I was very proud of him. He said he would do it again, he just doesn't want to be the goalie. What a trooper. Here is Jax posing for a pre-practice picture. He thought this would be a great picture. I agree. Pretty dang cute!!

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter to everyone!!! We have had a great Easter. Last night we colored our eggs. The boys were SO excited all week. I don't think a day went by without them asking me how many more days until they could color their eggs. I found a really cute egg coloring packet that had face stickers on it so we decorated our eggs to look like us. It was really fun and I think some of them really did look like us. Scary!! The kids found their baskets this morning and ate way too much candy. We had a great day at church, and had some friends from church over for dinner tonight and had WAY too much food to eat and all gained 5 pounds and had a ton of fun just hanging out. I know that I have posted a million pictures with this, but I thought they were all so cute I had to post them all. Sorry. Coloring eggs

Waiting for them to change color

Last weekend

Last weekend Zach had to take some students on a "cross country" flight for 3 days, and we got to stay home and party with out dad. We had a few deja vu moments of when he was deployed, but every thing went well. Whenever Zach is gone we always go way out to have fun. (Make the time go by faster). We got our Netflix movie just in time, so we watched "The Bee Movie" and made rice krispies and ordered pizza. We had friends come over to play and it was actually not a bad weekend. I found myself watching the movie just as intently as the boys and when I realized Aynslee was not in the room it was to late. I found her digging in the trash. Her new favorite past time. How I love this stage. She quite enjoys it.

On another note, I took Aynslee to the doctor for her 9 month well baby check that we are 1 1/2 months late for and found out that she evidently takes after her Aunt Sonnie. She is a shrimp. She is only 16 lbs. Not that any of my other kids are giants though. She is only in the 30th percentile in almost everything. She will just be a cute tiny little girl. No complaints. Anyway, here are some pictures of our "party" and Aynslee trash digging. Enjoy. Yummy, she found an old Sonic cup
Hopefully this doesn't lead to a life of dumpster diving!!

Watching the Bee movie

These rice krispies were so good. 1/2 marshmallows 1/2 marshmallow fluff!!!

Our pizza. I ate almost all of it!!!! Help!!

Just like Daddy

Today while I was getting ready for the day, Shade came running into the bathroom saying that he was going to work. I laughed at him and asked if he was going to flip some burgers. He just looked at me like I was crazy, which he really thinks I am and said no, that he was going to work. I had to put my mind into Shade mode and it finally dawned on me that he was pretending to be Zach with his Air Force hat on. If you look close you will see that it is an old envelope that he found. It was so cute that I had to take pictures of him and then had Jax model one of Zach's old hats so you can see that it really does look like his hat. So cute!!! Envelope hat (Air Force hat)

Hello Spring!!

Living in Mississippi definitely has its advantages. Spring is HERE!!! I get to laugh at the majority of you that are reading this. We are planting our flowers and running around in shorts and sandals. I know, in a few months you will be laughing at me when I can't go outside because it is so humid, but for now, it is my turn!!! In November we made some nice flower boxes in front of our house, and we got to finally fill them with flowers the other day. Both Zach and I love to grow flowers and gardens, so we are excited. I also got the bug and I have already given the boys their summer haircuts. Today I started to shave Jax's hair and he started crying saying that it hurt, I told him it was not that bad and kept on going. Not very long after I realized that my clippers were broken and I was just pretty much pulling his hair out. I felt so bad. I stopped halfway through and called Zach to have him bring us a new pair of clippers home after work. Poor Jax had to have is hair pulled out, then stay "weird looking" until Zach got home. Sad and funny at the same time. Tomorrow we have a play date with a few friends at the base. We are going to the park. We are so excited to get out and play again. Have I ever said how much we love being outside. Sorry for those of you who get to be stuck inside. Maybe that will give you something to think about and maybe we will get some visitors!!!! I realized that I don't have many pictures of me with the kids. Here we are. Kind of.
After their haircuts.

Before their haircuts.

The flowers we planted. I can't wait for them to "grow up"

These are my favorite flowers. Now I can see them everyday!

We are home!!

Aynslee with her morning hair. The sad thing is that her morning hair looks the same all day!!
The snow was all the way to the top of the tramp, and they said a ton had already melted.

Jax and Shade loved playing in the snow!!

Home sweet home. We had a great time in Idaho seeing family and friends. Sonnie got married and everything went well. She was quite the little bridezilla, but we still love her. I forgot how much you don't care about anything and just want to be married at that point. The reception was very pretty and a ton of people came. It was great. Courtney did a great job on her cake. I will have to get a picture from her so you can all see it. It looked great. Sonnie looked beautiful and was so happy. We are happy for her. Congrats Son!!! The boys played in the snow, and fed the animals on Grandpa Stewarts ranch. They loved it. They also got to see Papa Leaks new dog Pokey and his brother that Jax named Pokeymon. I wish that we could have taken little Pokeymon home with us. Aynslee had her first babysitter-Grandma and Grandpa Stewart and everything went well. So well, that we got a babysitter last night and can now leave her. Thanks grandma and grandpa.

We had a great time seeing family. Jordan and Barbara and family came down, and Courtney and Dan hung out with us a lot and we even blessed Matt and Waylenas newest baby Kayson.

We went to Salt Lake with the Grandma and Grandpa Stewart, Jessie and Bracken and family and Jed and even Mema and Papa. We went to the Childrens Museum and had a ton of fun. Looking back on everything I am surprised at how much we did!!! That is the way our trips to Idaho usually go. I forget how much I love it and everyone out there until I am there.

We are back to normal life now, and are getting things ready for Jax to start Soccer and are getting plans for putting up a fence and starting to plot out our garden. Life goes on.

Thanks to everyone that helped us out the past week and sorry for those of you we didn't get to see. We love you all and hope to see you all again soon. Come down south and see us!!!!!
