big day in the stewart house

Today was a huge day for me as well as Aynslee. I am in the Primary Presidency and we are working on our program for next Sunday and Zach is out of town. Aynslee was running all around the chapel and I couldn't help the kids with their talks and chase after Ayns at the same time, so I dropped her off in the Nursery. She is allowed to start going in 2 weeks, but they let her come in and she did great. No tears, or clinging to my side. I left her at the table with the food and said hi to Shade and left. Not one peep from her. YAY!!! I can't believe how happy we both are. When I dropped Jax off the first time I cried, Shade I was sad and happy, but with Ayns it was pure happiness. Sorry baby girl, but this is better for the both of us. You are done with hanging out with me and I will not complain. I am sad that she is growing up, but I am glad she is doing it happily. I love the nursery. Thank you nursery leaders, see you next week.

Happy birthday Daddy-O!

Today is my dad's birthday. It is always a little sad to know that you can't be there to give a hug to family on special days like today, so I thought I would dedicate a post to my dad. He is the best dad EVER! I have always had a special bond with him. When I was growing up, we didn't sit and talk for hours like I did with my mom, but he would tell me my hair was ugly and I would tell him he stunk, or something like that and that was our way of saying I love you. I knew then and still know now that no matter what he will always be there for me. I love how the older I get the closer we get. He is truly one of the greatest men I know. I can talk to him on the phone for hours about anything. That is HUGE because he will not talk on the phone to just anybody. I admire all of his hard work, testimony, love for family and his genuine good heart. I feel very lucky to have him as a dad. I love my daddy. Happy Birthday, consider this your hug!

We had a fun week last week. I finally got pictures of Shade playing football. He is so funny to watch. They have no idea what they are doing, but they are all laughing just chasing each other around. This is most of his team

Then, on Friday we decided to do a spur of the moment camping trip. We loaded everyone and everything we had in the fridge (nothing, I needed to go shopping desperately). Hot dogs, baked beans, and chips and dip. Good enough. We had a great time just spending time with each other. Life gets so busy with work, school, cleaning and sports that we needed to have some family time. It was great.

I love that I married a military man. Look at the "beginnings" of our fire. You can tell he has been to many survival trainings. We will NEVER be cold.

Shade and Aynslee and I were playing one day and I decided that since I have a little girl now I was going to force little girl things upon her (isn't that my job?) I have tried the tu-tu's, purses, nail polish, and boa's. She has loved all so far, but I was ready to try curling her hair and seeing what it would do. I was laughing so hard because this is what I got. Needless to say, I prefer straight hair on baby girl.

Her face shows how she likes it. Not very much.


I love this face. She hates it. This is what it looked like when she saw herself in the mirror. We just need to move to Texas again and enter her in some pageants with this hair. Where is the lipstick and mascara?

I have been a little behind on my blogging. We have been busy with starting football and the dentist and having no gas in Mississippi. On Saturday there was a big gas scare. Hurricane Ike hit a lot of the refineries that ship to Mississippi so they were only letting people get $40 dollars of gas (that is not even half of my tank) and so people started freaking out and then the gas station we go to ran out. Yes, ran out and they are not getting any more shipped to them for 1-2 weeks. Have I stopped driving? No of course not, I don't know what I will do, but life still has to go on.
Football started this month for the boys. Jax HATED it at first. Now he says he likes it. He would just run around with no idea of what he was supposed to do. I felt bad for him. I am not one to explain it to him though, I don't like it either. Shade loves it though. He doesn't play games, they just explain things to him, then let them practice what they talked about and run around. I will get pictures of that next time. I wish we wouldn't have skipped that part for Jax. Maybe next year.

The kids are growing up fast. Every time I look at one of them they seem to be bigger. People are always commenting on how I have my hands full. Yes, they are busy kids, but I wouldn't change it for one second. I wish they could stay this way forever. I love when Jax runs to me after he gets off the bus to give me a hug. I know that won't last forever. I love when Shade says he loves me back when I tell him I love him. I know from experience that when you turn 5 that isn't cool anymore. I love when Aynslee wants to just give me loves ALL THE TIME!! I could kiss her cheeks all day. September has been good to us so far. Things are going well and we are happy. Hope you liked the update. I will try and do better. This is what Shade does during Jax's games
